Prince Harry’s dream of returning to England this summer seems to have shattered in an instant. His planned private meeting with his father – King Charles III – which was expected to be a turning point in reconciliation, was quickly and coldly shut down by the royal family. According to many sources, Harry and Meghan had meticulously planned their return, hoping for an emotional private meeting between father and son.

However, as soon as the information leaked, everything changed. William played fair but wisely. Without outright denying it, Prince William reportedly proposed holding the meeting within a larger family circle, rather than a private meeting as Harry desired. This move was seen as a way to control the situation, preventing Harry from retelling the story in his own way later. A royal source commented: “This isn’t about closing the door on Harry, but about setting clear rules. No one is allowed to use the meeting to their advantage.”

King Charles silently closed the door. The most decisive blow came from King Charles himself. Despite his health issues, the King is believed to have chosen a cautious approach, prioritizing royal stability over emotional gestures. As a result, a private meeting between Harry and his son is now almost impossible. This isn’t the first time Harry has failed in his attempts to return.
After a series of critical statements about his family, the book Spare, and an Oprah interview, trust within the royal family seems to have dwindled. Many believe Harry is still trying to “play both sides,” simultaneously seeking reconciliation and control over the situation.

Pressure is mounting on the Sussexes. In a short period recently, Harry and Meghan have been embroiled in scandals: posting wedding photos celebrating their 8th anniversary but being criticized for hypocrisy; rumors of a $330 million reconciliation offer being rejected by King Charles; a disastrous appearance at Sundance; and now, the plan to return to England has also fallen apart. What do you think? Does Harry still have a chance to reconcile with the royal family? Is this Harry’s fault or is the royal family too harsh? Are the Sussex couple increasingly losing favor with the public?
