Pauline Hanson Fuels Explosive Rumours of Direct Showdown With Albanese for Australia’s Top Job. 004

Australia’s political landscape was shaken this week after Senator Pauline Hanson delivered a fiery and highly emotional speech at CPAC Brisbane, declaring that the nation is heading toward a dangerous decline and calling on Australians to “Make Australia Great Again.”

The One Nation leader received thunderous applause from supporters as she painted a bleak picture of the country’s future, attacking immigration policies, welfare spending, climate initiatives, and what she described as a growing culture of division inside Australia.

Speaking before a packed audience, Hanson opened her address by thanking supporters, sponsors, volunteers, and everyday Australians before quickly shifting into a passionate critique of the nation’s direction.

“What a hell of a mess our country’s in,” she declared, immediately setting the tone for one of her most explosive speeches in recent years.

The senator also surprised supporters with a major announcement involving her popular political cartoon series. Hanson revealed that after producing more than 100 animated episodes over the past three years, the project would now become a full-length movie set for release on Australia Day next year.

The crowd erupted when Hanson said the film would run for 90 minutes and could eventually be released worldwide.

But the biggest reactions came when she revisited the political battles that launched her career nearly three decades ago. Hanson recounted how she entered politics as an unknown small business owner and eventually won the seat of Oxley with one of the largest swings in Australian political history after clashing with the Liberal Party establishment.

“They told me to sit down and shut up because I knew nothing,” Hanson recalled, drawing boos from the audience directed at the major parties.

Throughout the speech, Hanson repeatedly accused mainstream politicians of ignoring ordinary Australians while refusing to speak honestly about the country’s problems.

She defended many of the controversial positions she has held over the years, including opposition to multiculturalism, criticism of immigration policies, and her fierce campaign against the Indigenous Voice referendum.

According to Hanson, the referendum debate exposed deep divisions within Australia that she warned politicians were deliberately encouraging.

“We are all Australians regardless of race, colour or religion,” she told the crowd as supporters rose to applaud.

The senator also reignited debate surrounding COVID-19 policies by defending her criticism of vaccines and lockdowns. Hanson argued that governments moved too quickly during the pandemic and claimed many Australians are still suffering psychological and economic consequences years later.

Another major focus of the speech was government spending.

Using the analogy of a draining water tank, Hanson argued Australia’s finances are being destroyed by excessive spending on climate programs, welfare, and Indigenous affairs. She specifically targeted the nation’s commitment to net zero emissions, calling climate policies “BS” that are “destroying our standard of living.”

Her comments triggered one of the loudest standing ovations of the night.

Hanson also attacked the rapid growth of the National Disability Insurance Scheme, warning the system could become financially unsustainable in coming years.

“We cannot afford it,” she repeatedly told the audience, claiming the scheme had expanded far beyond its original purpose.

The One Nation leader further argued that too many Australians had become dependent on welfare and proposed stricter limits on government support, insisting able-bodied people should return to work in farming, manufacturing, and other industries facing labour shortages.

As the speech intensified, Hanson portrayed herself as one of the few politicians willing to challenge what she called political correctness and censorship laws.

She referenced an upcoming legal battle connected to controversial remarks she made in the past and vowed to continue fighting against Section 18C laws, which govern offensive speech protections in Australia.

“If I win this case, I’ll get rid of 18C,” she announced to roaring applause.

Hanson also used the event to praise her One Nation colleagues and newly appointed senators, describing them as part of the political “A Team” that would continue pushing conservative policies across the country.

In one of the speech’s most dramatic moments, Hanson claimed she had recently been described as the “true opposition” in Australian politics — a label she proudly embraced.

“I’m going to take it and run with it,” she said confidently.

As her address neared its conclusion, Hanson warned Australians to look at developments in countries like England, France, and Germany, arguing Australia must avoid repeating what she believes are their mistakes.

Calling on supporters to join her movement, Hanson insisted One Nation represents the last major force willing to defend traditional Australian values, manufacturing, national identity, and economic independence.

“I don’t lie to you. What you see is what you get,” she declared.

The speech ended with prolonged applause and chants from supporters as Hanson delivered one final message that captured the tone of the entire event.

“From the bottom of my heart,” she said, “I’m so proud to be an Australian.”
