By any conventional measure, the past week in Washington would qualify as political chaos. By the standards of the T̄R̄UMP administration’s second term, it was merely a confirmation.

It began, as so many controversies do, with a post. On Friday, T̄R̄UMP celebrated the firing of a late-night host with the familiar mix of grievance and bravado, mocking talent, ratings and relevance in the same breath. The target hardly mattered.
