MAGA Republicans Are Imploding as Internal Feuds Spiral Into Open Civil War
The MAGA movement is no longer just fractured—it is actively turning on itself. What began as ideological tension has now exploded into a full-blown civil war among Donald Trump’s most influential allies, operatives, and elected officials. Top MAGA influencers are attacking other top MAGA influencers. Sitting members of Congress are publicly accusing fellow Republicans of abuse, corruption, and criminal behavior. And amid all of it, governance has completely collapsed.
This is not a policy debate. This is political chaos.

Laura Loomer vs. JD Vance: The Coup Accusation That Set MAGA on Fire
At the center of the current MAGA meltdown is Laura Loomer, one of Donald Trump’s closest and most visible influencers, who frequently travels with him and enjoys direct access to his inner circle. Loomer has accused Vice President JD Vance of deliberately sabotaging the Republican Party ahead of the midterm elections in order to engineer Donald Trump’s impeachment—clearing the path for Vance to become president.
Loomer framed her accusation in apocalyptic terms, claiming Vance is part of an internal plot, essentially a coup against Trump. According to her, Republican leaders are intentionally pushing losing strategies so Democrats regain control of Congress.
Her evidence? Vance’s appearance at the March for Life.
Loomer publicly attacked Vance for emphasizing abortion messaging in a midterm election year, arguing Republicans already learned in 2018 that focusing on abortion costs elections. “Trump gets it,” she insisted. “The GOP doesn’t. They’re going to blow the midterms on purpose.”
The MAGA Counterattack: Vance, MTG, and the Influencer Backlash
JD Vance responded bluntly, stating that Trump himself encouraged him to attend the event and sent a video endorsing the March for Life. He accused unnamed “conservative influencers” of sowing division and undermining the administration, calling their behavior “disgraceful.”
That only escalated the fight.
Loomer supporters immediately fired back, asking why Vance had never condemned Tucker Carlson or Candace Owens for relentlessly attacking Trump’s policies. Loomer herself accused Vance of selective outrage, pointing out that he had never criticized Marjorie Taylor Greene, who previously referred to Trump as a “pedophile protector.”
Greene then entered the fray, attacking Loomer for targeting Vance. Loomer responded by claiming Greene had already been disavowed by Trump. The accusations spiraled, alliances collapsed, and the MAGA ecosystem descended into open warfare.
This is what the Republican Party now looks like: influencers accusing elected officials of treason, officials accusing influencers of sabotage, and no one talking about policy.

While MAGA Fights, Americans Struggle
Lost entirely in this infighting is the public. Americans are dealing with skyrocketing rent, unaffordable groceries, rising health care costs, and insurance premiums that have spun out of control. None of that appears to matter inside MAGA-world.
Instead of legislating, Republicans are consumed by feuds, conspiracies, and character assassinations. The disconnect between political theater and everyday reality has never been more stark.
Florida’s 7th District: A MAGA Scandal Machine
The dysfunction doesn’t stop online. It has spilled directly onto the floor of Congress.
Republican Congresswoman Nancy Mace has repeatedly taken to the House floor to read police reports involving Representative Cory Mills, a MAGA Republican representing Florida’s 7th Congressional District. According to Mace, Mills has been accused by multiple women of domestic violence, threats, and intimidation.
Mace cited police reports alleging that Mills grabbed, shoved, and physically assaulted a woman at his Washington, D.C. residence in February 2025. Another former partner accused Mills of threatening to release intimate images and harm future partners. Reports also indicate Mills owes more than $80,000 in back rent and is currently under a restraining order from a different woman.
These are not rumors circulating online. These allegations have been read into the Congressional Record.
Even More Allegations: Afghanistan and Financial Misconduct
The controversy surrounding Mills extends further. According to reporting by journalist Roger Sollenberger, Mills allegedly hired sex workers during a 2021 Afghanistan evacuation mission—behavior described as disturbing and potentially dangerous to his team.
Once again, this is not partisan speculation. It is documented reporting from a respected journalist. Yet Mills remains in office, protected by party loyalty and MAGA branding.
A Stark Contrast: Bale Dalton Enters the Race
Against this backdrop, Bale Dalton, a decorated Navy captain, former NASA chief of staff, and Democratic candidate for Florida’s 7th District, is offering voters a stark alternative.
Dalton served 23 years in the U.S. Navy, including deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, the Horn of Africa, and the Pacific. He flew medical evacuation missions, supported special operations, and delivered disaster relief after Hurricane Katrina.
His message is simple: while MAGA Republicans are distracted by scandals and infighting, families are struggling to survive.
The Issues Voters Actually Care About
As Dalton travels across Seminole County and Orange County, he hears the same concerns repeatedly—from Democrats, Republicans, and independents alike. Grocery prices are crushing families. Health insurance costs are exploding. Utilities and property insurance in Florida are becoming unaffordable.
Small business owners are facing impossible choices. Parents are deciding between health care and rent. Workers are watching costs rise while wages stagnate.
Dalton argues that Cory Mills and MAGA Republicans have not only ignored these problems but actively voted to make them worse—particularly on health care.
Foreign Policy Recklessness and the Cost to Troops
Dalton, a veteran and former commanding officer, also raised alarms about Trump’s increasingly reckless rhetoric toward U.S. allies. Threats to invade allied nations or abandon NATO are not abstract talking points—they have real consequences for service members.
When political leaders engage in casual war talk, Dalton warns, it is young Americans who pay the price. He emphasizes that military action requires strategy, planning, and accountability—none of which he sees in current MAGA leadership.
A Party Consumed by Chaos
What emerges from all of this is a simple truth: MAGA Republicans are not governing. They are fighting each other, defending scandals, and denying economic reality while voters struggle to keep up with basic costs of living.
The contrast could not be clearer. One side is offering service, stability, and solutions. The other is offering conspiracy theories, influencer wars, and endless drama.
As the midterms approach, the real question may not be whether MAGA Republicans can defeat Democrats—but whether they can survive themselves.
