SHOCKING: 2,900 Lawyers ABANDON Donald Trump in Stunning Exodus. What unfolded at the Department of Justice yesterday wasn’t a political tantrum—it was a five-alarm fire. Nearly 2,900 career prosecutors didn’t just quit—they were forced out for refusing to violate their oath to the Constitution… Binbin

Red Alert at the DOJ: The Exodus of 2,900 Lawyers and the Collapse from Within

An unprecedented personnel crisis is unfolding at the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the institution considered the pillar of the American legal system. According to recent reports, over 2,900 lawyers have left the agency in less than a year, causing severe consequences for the government’s ability to uphold the rule of law.

A Historic Exodus

Statistics reveal that more than 2,900 attorneys have quit in less than a year. This figure is triple the average attrition rate of the previous four years. These are not merely administrative staff or retirees, but a mass departure of veteran prosecutors who possess the DOJ’s core institutional knowledge and experience.

The primary drivers of this exodus are political pressure and ethical conflicts. Lawyers report being unable to stomach demands from President Donald Trump, which reportedly include compromising professional ethics or dropping cases for political reasons. One resignation letter obtained by Axios was explicitly blunt: “Fear is the tool of a tyrant,” referring to a toxic work environment and retaliation against those who dare to push back.

Immediate Consequences: Dismissed Cases and Criminals Walking Free

The severe shortage of seasoned personnel has led to immediate and catastrophic consequences in federal courts. With experienced prosecutors gone, the DOJ is relying on inexperienced lawyers, resulting in rookie mistakes such as missed deadlines and mishandled evidence.

  • Record Failure Rate: Reports indicate that more than one in five (20%) of the DOJ’s criminal cases in Washington D.C. have been dismissed or ended in mistrials. This is described as a “catastrophic failure rate” for federal prosecutors who historically maintain high conviction rates.

  • Key Unit Paralyzed: The Federal Programs Branch, the unit responsible for defending the President’s policies in court, has lost two-thirds of its staff (69 out of roughly 110 lawyers). Former officials call this attrition rate “unprecedented,” noting that Trump’s own policies are now losing in court simply because there is no one left competent enough to defend them.

The Eric Adams Case: A Case Study in Political Interference

The report highlights the corruption case against New York City Mayor Eric Adams as a glaring example of political interference. When Trump allegedly pressured the DOJ to drop charges against Adams for political utility, seven prosecutors resigned rather than comply with the order.

This incident reflects an alarming reality: federal lawyers are being forced to choose between their careers and their professional ethics. Those with integrity are choosing to walk away, leaving the DOJ staffed by those who are either too inexperienced to know better or willing to follow orders regardless of the law.

Conclusion: A “Hollowed Out” Justice System

The loss of 2,900 lawyers is not merely a staffing issue; it is the erosion of the credibility and capability of the entire American justice system. As top prosecutors leave, decades of institutional knowledge vanish with them, severely weakening the department’s ability to prosecute crime, combat corruption, and protect national security.

This crisis is expected to leave scars that will last for years, perhaps decades, as trust in the DOJ’s impartiality—both from the public and the legal community—is being dismantled day by day.

Starmer Thinks We’re All Fools — And Britain Is Paying the Price

Keir Starmer appears to believe that the British public will swallow anything. After all, why wouldn’t he? For the past 18 months, his Labour government has governed through spin, contradiction and outright deception — and yet continues to lecture the nation about honesty, integrity and “change”.

In his grandiose New Year address, the Prime Minister assured a weary and increasingly disillusioned Britain that he would “defeat the decline and division caused by others” and promised that this year would finally be one in which people “feel positive change” in their daily lives. It was a performance heavy on rhetoric and light on reality — perhaps the most detached statement his government has delivered to date.

Because the truth is unavoidable: Labour has spent the last year and a half saying one thing and doing another. The party that swept into office in 2024 not on a wave of enthusiasm but on sheer public exhaustion with Conservative rule has proven no better — and in many respects, worse.

Before taking power, Sir Keir warned of a “crisis of confidence in politics itself”. He spoke eloquently about how broken promises, not just scandals, had eroded public trust. Politicians, he insisted, had failed the British people by refusing — or being unable — to keep their word.

Those words now read like parody.

Rather than restoring integrity to public life, Labour has delivered a masterclass in political dishonesty. The manifesto that carried it into Downing Street has quickly revealed itself to be less a programme for government than a charter of deception.

Labour promised not to raise taxes on working people. Yet under Chancellor Rachel Reeves, the government has extracted an eye-watering £66 billion through two budgets alone. This was not, as ministers claim, about filling a mythical “black hole” in the public finances. It was a deliberate ideological choice: to punish aspiration and penalise those who strive to build better lives for themselves.

At the same time, the Prime Minister and his Chancellor quietly scrapped the two-child benefit cap — a move that increased welfare payments for around 560,000 families by an average of £5,310 each. The result? Welfare spending is projected to balloon from £333 billion in 2025–26 to nearly £390 billion by the end of the decade.

This is not compassion. It is economic vandalism.

Britain is being nudged towards lethargy and dependence by a government that seems actively hostile to productivity, enterprise and self-reliance. Pensioners, small business owners, farmers and the self-employed have all been alienated by a relentless series of ill-considered, ideologically driven policies designed to reward inertia while punishing effort.

And so the “hope” Starmer now speaks of — a hope even he appears unconvinced by — rings hollow. The country certainly isn’t buying it.

A recent and deeply sobering poll revealed what Britons expect 2026 to bring: widespread social unrest, violent protests, economic recession and even a major cyberattack capable of crippling critical national infrastructure. This is not optimism. It is dread.

In a nation gripped by uncertainty, positive indicators are almost impossible to find. Britain now attracts the lowest level of investment among G7 nations, while household spending has fallen to its lowest point in five years. The NHS remains under unbearable strain, growth is anaemic, and the next general election — scheduled as late as August 2029 — feels an eternity away.

Everywhere one looks, pessimism prevails.

Britain today is shrouded in a fog of despair, thickened by a Labour government that has systematically extinguished the hopes of millions. And no matter how many platitudes the Prime Minister recites, no matter how often he changes his tone or rebrands his failures as “progress”, the reality remains unchanged.

The public was promised honesty.
Instead, it got Starmer.
