Ousmane Dembele and Achraf Hakimi have handed Paris Saint-Germain potential injury scares less than a week before the Champions League final against Arsenal. The Gunners will take on PSG in next Saturday’s showpiece fixture in Budapest, days after being officially crowned as Premier League champions.

Mikel Arteta’s side defeated Atletico Madrid to book a place in the final in Hungary, while PSG got past Bayern Munich to set up the tie against Arsenal.
PSG finished their Ligue 1 season last weekend, so they have had an extra week to be able to prepare for the clash against the Gunners.

L’Equipe have reported that PSG took part in an in-house friendly match on Saturday between just the players in the squad, but two stars were notably absent.
Dembele and Hakimi did not take part in the match, fuelling speculation that the duo could be doubts for the clash against Arsenal next week.
The report claims that PSG played a match of two 20-minute halves, with players on both sides given strict instructions to have no contact.

Hakimi missed the second leg of the Champions League semi-final win over Bayern and was also not available for the final four Ligue 1 matches of the season for PSG.
It was reported that Hakimi took part in an individual training session rather than the in-house friendly, and is apparently on the verge of returning to train alongside his teammates.
However, it’s still been deemed as “unlikely” that the Morocco international will recover in time to feature against Arsenal in the Champions League final and at best, will start on the bench.

Dembele did not take part in the friendly match after being substituted during the first half of PSG’s Ligue 1 finale against Paris FC last weekend.
The Ballon d’Or winner went on to confirm earlier this week, though, that he still expects to be available to face Arsenal next Saturday.
“I’m doing very well. I had a slight scare against Paris FC, but I’m fine and I’ll be ready for the final,” Dembele said.
“Will I be 100 per cent for the final? Yes, I think so. Yes, I’ll be ready. I have no doubt about it. I hope to be on the pitch on May 30th.”

He added: “I’ve had so many minor scares or major injuries in my career, whether here at PSG or even before, especially with the big matches coming up, especially this final, I preferred to stop and above all not take any risks.”
