BREAKING: Tony Abbott RETURNS To Top Liberal Role In Shock Political Comeback. 004

Tony Abbott Ignites CPAC Australia With Explosive Warning About The Nation’s Future

Former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott has delivered one of the most explosive speeches of CPAC Australia 2025, unleashing a fierce attack on the Albanese government while warning that the country is “drifting backwards” at an alarming pace.

Speaking before a packed crowd in Brisbane, Abbott opened with a passionate declaration that Australia remains “the best country in the world,” but warned that economic decline, social fragmentation, and political weakness are threatening the nation’s future.

He pointed to falling living standards, declining productivity, soaring migration numbers, and growing pressure on housing and infrastructure as signs that the country is facing a serious national crisis. According to Abbott, ordinary Australians are watching the foundations of the country weaken while political leaders refuse to confront the real issues.

The former Liberal leader also accused the government of targeting the industries that made Australia prosperous, including coal, gas, logging, and manufacturing. He described Labor’s climate agenda as a “train wreck” and warned that net zero policies could devastate the Australian economy if left unchecked.

One of the loudest reactions from the audience came when Abbott attacked renewable energy policies and claimed Australia was being pushed toward “national economic suicide.” He argued that rising electricity prices, shrinking heavy industry, and increasing dependence on Chinese-made solar panels and wind turbines were putting both economic security and national sovereignty at risk.

Abbott repeatedly accused the Albanese government of pursuing unrealistic emissions targets that Australians would ultimately pay for through higher living costs and reduced living standards. He described the climate transition as “destroying the environment in order to save it,” a line that triggered massive applause inside the venue.

The speech also focused heavily on immigration and national identity. Abbott argued that Australia’s migration intake had become too high and warned that the country could not continue absorbing hundreds of thousands of newcomers each year without severe consequences for housing and infrastructure.

At the same time, he insisted that migrants should be expected to embrace Australia’s existing culture and values rather than transform them. Abbott defended what he called Australia’s “Anglo-Celtic core culture” and “Judeo-Christian ethos,” arguing that these traditions formed the foundation of the nation’s success.

The former Prime Minister also used the stage to reflect on his own time in office, openly apologizing to conservative Australians for what he described as the failures of Coalition governments after 2013. While defending policies such as stopping illegal boat arrivals and repealing the carbon tax, Abbott admitted that the Coalition ultimately failed to become the government many supporters had hoped for.

Despite that criticism, Abbott praised figures including Peter Dutton, Warren Mundine, and Jacinta Nampijinpa Price for helping defeat the Voice referendum and pushing conservative policies back into the national conversation.

In one of the most talked-about moments of the speech, Abbott also praised Pauline Hanson and acknowledged the support One Nation had given Coalition governments in the Senate over the years.

He warned conservatives against remaining silent and called on supporters to become more politically active, arguing that a “silent majority” cannot survive if it refuses to fight for its beliefs publicly.

Abbott also referenced growing international conservative movements, including the rise of Nigel Farage and Reform UK in Britain. However, he insisted that Australia does not currently need a brand-new conservative party, but instead “a reformed Liberal Party.”

He then launched a blistering attack on factional politics inside the Liberal Party, accusing internal powerbrokers of turning the party into an “insider club” disconnected from ordinary members and voters.

Throughout the speech, Abbott positioned himself not as a retired politician but as a lifelong conservative campaigner determined to continue influencing Australia’s political direction.

As the speech drew to a close, Abbott declared that politics should never be treated as a career, but as a cause worth fighting for. He vowed that “as long as there is breath in my body,” he would continue fighting for the Liberal Party and for Australia’s future.

The fiery address immediately triggered massive reactions online, with supporters praising Abbott for “saying what millions are thinking” while critics accused him of escalating divisions over climate, immigration, and national identity.

Within hours, clips from the speech began spreading rapidly across social media platforms, reigniting fierce debates about net zero, migration, conservative politics, and the future direction of Australia itself — and the internet is already exploding.
